Creativity Process Class - Portraits

So I've officially started my class on Creativity Process in Photography. My assignment for Thursday (3/22) is to take portraits. We have to go into class with a cd of all of our photos taken, and 30-40 of our photos printed. It's SO hard....that's a LOT of photos to choose to print. So far I have about 20 that I've chosen, but I need to work with them in cropping and seeing how some of them look in Black and White.

Which, is basically what I've done with this photo. I wanted to focus on Amanda's tattoo, one that she drew herself, of a hammerhead shark. I like the cropped version of this photo in Black and White...feel free to share your thoughts.

Winter - Thomas Standpipe

I feel like it's been forever since I've posted...and it really has been! The photo on this post is from the top of the Thomas Standpipe. Robin and I headed over there on March 7th, because they were open for the Winter Season. It was freezing at the top, so we weren't up there as long as we had been in the Fall, but we still went all the way around. The cool part about this trip was that it was clear enough to see Sugarloaf and Mount Katahdin...very cool!
I'll be posting more recently, since my Creativity in Photography class starts this Thursday. I'm excited for that to start!
